Last night I started assembling my server equipment.

empty-spaceI planned for the server rack to go to the right of the computer that is on the floor. That computer is a Supermicro AMD build that is running everything in my house until I get the rack and servers assembled.

  • Supermicro AMD motherboard
  • AMD Opteron 6128
  • 32 GBs of RAM
  • LSI 9240-8i with 4 3TB WD RED Hard Drives RAID 5
  • Synology 212j with 2 1TB Seagete Constellation Hard Drives in a RAID 1 (iSCSI target)

I have the rack built and all the 1U servers racked. So far I don’t have power or any networking configured, but that what this weekend is for.
